Bizspace - Europa, Cheadle, Manchester

We were called by our client Bizspace to replace 2 numbers of asbestos downpipes. The downpipes over time had become loose and were posing a massive health and safety risk. As we at Equity are both renowned and highly trained for dealing with high level work and also the removal of non-licensable asbestos we were called in to undertake the task.

With 3 fully trained operatives and the aid of a MEWPs 18m diesel scissor we were able to replace the complete asbestos downpipes with new UPVC within 2 days. All current regulations were followed throughout the works including the correct disposal procedure for the ACM’s and transfer notes were handed over on completion of work.  Whilst onsite we also undertook the replacement of cracked UPVC sections of downpipe which were noted by our surveyor and brought to our client’s attention whilst on site and roof repairs to prevent water ingress.

The roof works consisted of; the supply and install of girder clamps, inertia reels and full body harnesses to give fall arrest including decking out of Northern Lights in gutters ready for working access, cleaning out 4 nr of gutters, dry and inspect and dispose of all debris offsite.  The works also included the installation of flashing, felt (hot works) and the replacement of 26 numbers of Northern Roof Lights. Showing our client that we are flexible and reliable once again!
